EHA Articles of Association Changes: Member Information

EHA continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of its members and the wider hematology community. Over time, and through regular conversations with members across different career stages and roles, we have gathered input on how the association can better support professional development, collaboration, and engagement.

The proposed updates to the Articles of Association reflect this input and aim to ensure that EHA remains clear in its structures, relevant to its members, and effective in supporting hematology in Europe and beyond its borders.

What is changing

A key element of these updates is a more clearly defined membership framework. By expanding and refining membership categories, EHA can better reflect the diversity of its community and support members at different stages of their careers with more tailored opportunities and benefits.

The proposed changes also introduce targeted governance updates. These include aligning terminology with accepted international standards and introducing limited flexibility in the rotation of board member terms to ensure continuity in exceptional circumstances. In addition, voting rights are clarified to ensure transparency and consistency across membership categories.
