Job description

In this role, you support clinicians and researchers in hematology to develop their careers and achieve excellence in basic, translational and clinical research. The Talent Accelerator manages all the direct support actions for researchers in hematology (EHA Grants) and elite research trainings (basic, translational, and clinical research trainings).

As Project Coordinator Talent Accelerator, you will directly communicate with experts and trainees who join our research trainings to help arrange logistics, calls and online application systems. Other activities include supporting the research grant cycle from launching the call to preparing grants agreements.  

The EHA Project Coordinator Talent Accelerator is a member of the Research Team and supports EHA’s infrastructure for Talent Accelerator activities, in coordination with the team’s colleagues.

As the European Hematology Association operates within Europe and beyond, these activities take place at different locations and countries. You perform your role from our office in The Hague (and a few days per week from home). Travel is expected for certain specific meetings or events.

Main Responsibilities:

Talent Accelerator Infrastructure

  • Manages the Fluxx grant-application platform, maintaining data accuracy, reporting readiness, external user, and internal stakeholders' support.

  • Supports Talent Accelerator initiatives from start to finish, keeping timelines, resources, milestones, and quality to meet strategic goals.

Stakeholder Management/Communications

  • Facilitates collaboration and alignment among internal stakeholders (including Comms, Connect, Education, Finance, Legal, and Community) as well as external partners (such as the Fellowships & Grants Committee, Research Committee, applicants, reviewers) by supporting regular updates, feedback sessions, and committee meetings.

Support for Mentoring Programs

  • Support logistics for training programs and communication with participants.

Support for EHA Grants

  • Support logistics and reimbursements for the Committee meetings.

  • Support EHA Grants cycles, in particular management of funding payments and administrative work involving grant applications and grantee reports.

  • Salary range 4.000 – 5.700 euro gross per month (based on 40 hours/week).

Job requirements

  • You have a bachelor’ degree followed by 2 years (relevant) working experience

  • You have knowledge of events and logistics

  • You know how to work effectively with internal (colleagues) and external stakeholders (our members, committee members, and more)

  • You have the skills and eagerness to quickly become familiar with Fluxx, a grants management software (working knowledge of Fluxx is an advantage)

  • You can travel (mostly within Europe) for 4 - 8 days to onsite events several times per year

  • You are flexible, can deal with peak moments and like to build fruitful collaborations with people you work with

  • You have an affinity for the medical field and/or healthcare professions

  • You are highly proficient in English

  • Immediate availability or short notice period
