Molecular Hematopoiesis Workshop

Organizers: Chair: Thomas Mercher

  • Session 1: Signaling
    Chair: Kim De Keersmaecker
  • Session 2: Hematopoietic stem cells & their niche
    Chair: Michael Milsom
  • Session 3: Transcriptional and epigenetic regulation
    Chair: Ann Mullally

The goal of the workshop is to present and discuss the latest scientific results covering the field of molecular hematopoiesis, including signaling, normal and malignant hematopoietic stem cells, microenvironment, transcription and epigenetic regulation, acute malignancies, molecular and biochemistry bases of vulnerabilities and physiological modeling. The broad range of topics and the highly interactive format are appealing to both basic scientists and clinical investigators interested in translational research.

The Molecular Hematpoiesis Workshop @ EHA2021 Virtual Congress is back!
Date & time: Wednesday, June 9 (09:00 - 12:00 CEST)

The workshop will be organized on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 09:00 - 12:00 CEST, the first day of the EHA2021 Virtual Congress.

The 3-hour workshop will contain the following sessions:

  • Session 1: Signaling
  • Session 2: Hematopoietic stem cells & their niche
  • Session 3: Transcriptional and epigenetic regulation

Each speaker will have 5-7 minutes presentation + 5 minutes live Q&A with the panel and audience. Therefore, speakers will have to very briefly introduce the question addressed and avoid background to focus on unpublished novel approaches and experimental results only.

For the first time people had the opportunity to submit their topic/abstract for inclusion in the workshop, as one of the presentation slots.

Junior faculty were strongly encouraged to participate and apply for a presentation in the workshop. This is a great place to present their latest work for a large international audience and get the chance to interact with world-class faculty and your peers.

Selected speakers will be contacted by April 30 to schedule their recording, and will receive a complimentary registration for the EHA2021 Virtual Congress.

The Molecular Hematopoiesis Workshop is included in the regular EHA2021 registration fee, no additional registration is required.
