Molecular Hematopoiesis Workshop

The goal of the workshop is to present and discuss the latest scientific results covering the field of molecular hematopoiesis, including signaling, normal and malignant hematopoietic stem cells, microenvironment, transcription and epigenetic regulation, acute malignancies, molecular and biochemistry bases of vulnerabilities and physiological modeling. The broad range of topics and the highly interactive format are appealing to both basic scientists and clinical investigators interested in translational research.

The Molecular Hematopoiesis Workshop @ EHA2023 Hybrid Congress is back!
Date & time: Friday, June 9 (08:00 - 11:15 CEST)

Organizers

Chair: Thomas Mercher

  • Session 1: Signaling
    Chair: Kim De Keersmaecker
  • Session 2: Hematopoietic stem cells & their niche
    Chair: Michael Milsom
  • Session 3: Transcriptional and epigenetic regulation
    Chair: Britta Will

Program

The workshop will be organized on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 08:00 - 11:15 CEST, the first day of the EHA2023 Hybrid Congress.

The 3-hour workshop will contain the following sessions:

  • Session 1: Signaling
  • Session 2: Hematopoietic stem cells & their niche
  • Session 3: Transcriptional and epigenetic regulation

Each speaker will have 7 minutes presentation + 5 minutes live Q&A with the panel and audience. Therefore, speakers will have to very briefly introduce the question addressed and avoid background to focus on unpublished novel approaches and experimental results only.

Application

Based on the success of last year's edition, we are renewing the opportunity for you to submit a short summary of your most novel and exciting science for inclusion in the workshop, as one of the presentation slots.

Send a short summary by clicking on the link below:

Submit your proposal here by April 10

Feel free to directly email the organizers with any question.

Junior faculty are strongly encouraged to participate and apply for a presentation in the workshop. This is a great place to present your latest work for a large international audience and get the chance to interact with world-class faculty and your peers (with a strong presence of avoiding overlap with the abstract program). To maximise the scientific interactions of the speakers with the audience, we strongly encourage the in-person participation in Frankfurt (selected speakers will receive travel and registration support).

The deadline for submitting your topic/abstract passes on April 10, 2023.

Selected speakers will be contacted between April 24-26, 2023 regarding the selection.

Registration

The Molecular Hematopoiesis Workshop is included in the regular EHA2023 registration fee, no additional registration is required.
