Associate Project Manager Meetings & Travel

The European Hematology Association (EHA), located in the heart of The Hague (Netherlands) is a non-profit and membership organization serving clinicians and researchers with an active interest in hematology in Europe and beyond. Our mission is to promote excellence in patient care through education, research, and advocacy.

Hematologic diseases, disorders of the blood and blood-forming organs including conditions related to HIV, sickle cell disease, and complications from chemotherapy or transfusions, afflict millions of Europeans each year. Hematology is constantly changing and evolving. We help our members stay up to date by delivering a structured educational program, created by hematologists for hematologists. We offer a range of career development programs to help clinicians and researchers grow professionally and personally. We also advocate for hematologists and hematology at local and international levels.

We are looking for an

Associate Project Manager Meetings & Travel (36 – 40 hrs.)

This is a varied, challenging and rewarding role where you will be working with a range of international, internal and external stakeholders to deliver a broad variety of meetings in and outside of the Netherlands, and organize travel and accommodation for all of EHA’s guests to these meetings. It’s a new position in a high energy and high output team in a fun and challenging environment.

Your responsibilities:

  • Arrange external meeting requests (flights, hotel bookings, etc.) that come in at the Congress & Meetings department, in line with the meeting request procedure
  • Coordinate with Office Management for internal meetings, and with the C&M team and other teams for external meetings
  • Facilitate travel requests of colleagues
  • Support other Congress & Meetings Project Manager with ongoing projects
  • Support various administrative matters within the Congress & Meetings Department
  • Continuously search for improvements in process, procedures and policies

Your profile:

  • At least a Bachelor degree, preferably in the field of Event Management or Hotel Management
  • 0 – 3 years of working experience in event management, travel industry or hotel industry
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
  • International experience and willingness to travel
  • Keen eye for detail, optimizing processes and collaborating with a broad variety of people
  • Living in the Netherlands
  • A good sense of humor
