The European Hematology Association (EHA), located in the heart of The Hague (Netherlands), is a non-profit professional association serving clinicians and researchers with an active interest in hematology in Europe and beyond. Our mission is to promote excellence in patient care through education, research, and advocacy.
Hematology is constantly changing and evolving. We help our members stay up to date by delivering a structured educational program, created by hematologists for hematologists. We offer a range of career development programs to help clinicians and researchers grow professionally and personally. We also advocate for hematologists and hematology at local and international levels.
To ensure we can deliver our mission and vision, the Education Department at EHA plays a crucial role in advancing knowledge and excellence in hematology. We are looking for a
Project Manager Education
(32 – 40 hours)
The Project Manager EHA Education is part of the EHA Education team and contributes to the management and development of EHA Education activities.
The Project Manager EHA Education co-creates new proposals to be presented to and executes the strategic decisions of the Executive Board, EHA Education, and Curriculum-Exam Committee, as well as the Head of Education on an operational level. Your role involves strategic decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and successful project execution. Your responsibilities:
- Manage the assigned projects and/or programs effectively, using expertise and skills.
- Prepare budgets, timelines, develop milestones and workflow, ensure additional (internal or external) resources in collaboration with the Head of Education.
- Deliver projects and/or programs within the agreed timeline and budget.
- Identifies and implements process improvements, initiates, writes and finalizes SOPs.
- Identifies roadblocks/bottlenecks, escalating them to the Head of Education with issues that cannot be resolved on the operational level
Defines clear applicable standards, processes, templates for project/program management activities in collaboration with senior team members (used by project managers/coordinator for operational purposes). - Presents progress of the project/program at team, unit and board/committee meetings, where needed.
- Works alongside the Head of EHA Education to promote educational initiatives in events when needed, including National Society events, annual EHA Congress, educational/scientific sessions, committee meetings.
- Establishes or strengthens relationships with stakeholders, acting as the interface between the office and external stakeholders on education-related activities based on strategic plans.
- Works with internal and external stakeholders for education dissemination and promotion.
- Coordinating with all teams at the EHA Office to streamline existing initiatives and to develop initiatives.
- Collects and analyzes information and developments and, within their scope, advises on project/program opportunities and their arrangements.
- Manages vendors, external suppliers, additional required resources to make the projects/programs a success..
Your profile:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as health education, health sciences, or medical communication, project management qualification a plus.
- Min. 2+ years’ experience of medical education project management.
- Ability to fluently communicate in English (in writing and oral).
- Project/program management, being able to run multiple projects/programs from start till closure with autonomy and independence.
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks and projects/programs effectively.
- Demonstrates flexibility and ownership to resolve project/program-related challenges.
- Ability to utilize commonly available project management tools.
- Excellent diplomatic communication skills, a natural cross-functional profile.
- Good stakeholder management skills.
- Experience of working with the pharmaceutical and or biotech industry is a plus.
- Curriculum development experience and community management is a plus.
- Technological knowledge and event management experience is a plus.
- Team player and self-reflective and open to receiving and giving feedback to others.
- Living in the Netherlands (for non-European nationals, being in possession of a valid work permit is required).

- The salary range is between €4.000,- and €5.800,- gross per month, based on full-time employment.
