The European Hematology Association (EHA) is a non-profit organization located in The Hague which serves medical professionals, researchers, and scientists with an active interest in hematology. We are proud to be the largest European-based organization connecting hematologists worldwide to support career development and research, harmonize hematology education, and advocate for hematologists and hematology. EHA is governed by the EHA Board and supported in its activities by various committees. An international team of 30 staff members work in a dynamic, results-driven and open environment and take pride in serving the association in an efficient manner.

Project Manager Medical Education (32-40 hours)

Job description

As Project Manager Medical Education you will be involved in the management, organization and coordination of EHA’s educational projects, which are part of EHA’s Medical Education Program.

You will proactively work on the improvement of the online educational program (Campus), in collaboration with the Head of Education and other team members. You will support and advise the Education Committee and its sub-committees in developing and implementing strategies and policies to drive education projects. Developing new education tools/activities to meet the educational needs of hematologists is a main activity. You will also maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of relevant developments in the field of (medical) education e.g. on learning formats, compiling learning programs, measuring learning outcomes. You will liaise with third parties to ensure there is a consistent high standard of quality and accuracy for all educational output.

In your daily activity you will coordinate with other team members and report to the Head of Education.

Your Profile

You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a scientific field, and are experienced in adult (medical) education & communication. You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in (agile) project-based work and in executing projects independently. You have a qualification in digital technologies (innovation and design). Your nature is to identify, seize and implement opportunities. You have an affinity with our work field of hematology and/or immunology.

Result-oriented, decisive and tactful are words to describe you. You act with the organization’s mission and goals at the forefront of your mind.. You are detail oriented, without losing the overview and main objectives. You have a natural way of switching between an operational and strategic level.

You are an open and enthusiastic team player who motivates and encourages people to get the best out of themselves. Clarity and open communication are values of paramount importance to you. Your written and oral communication skills in English are excellent.

You feel comfortable in a small, but relatively complex, organization in which flexibility, collective responsibility and a hands-on mentality are essential.
