The European Board for Accreditation in Hematology (EBAH) is the apex body for hematology CME accreditation in Europe. EBAH supports and promotes high-quality Continuing Medical Education (CME) in hematology across Europe, aiming to improve patient and public healthcare standards.

EBAH’s mission is to be the leading independent accreditation body for CME in hematology, ensuring that accredited educational events meet rigorous quality standards.

We are looking for an EBAH Affairs Manager (EHA Foundation)—a seasoned specialist who has prior experience of working with or managing a CME accreditation organisation. The candidate must have an active interest in hematology.

About the role

The EBAH Affairs Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day operations related to EBAH’s processes, database systems, and applications.

This person in this role:

  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting to EBAH’s stakeholders
  • Manages relationships with the EBAH committee (the supervising body of EBAH) and external providers
  • Supports data analysis for strategic decision-making and reporting
  • Updates current processes
  • Launches new projects
  • Serves as an internal expert on accreditation for the organization

In addition to this, the EBAH Affairs Manager will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and agenda for EBAH for the next five years.

This position is for a self-starter and one-person lead. In the role, you will:

  • Work independently under the EHA Foundation
  • Report to the Managing Director of the EHA Foundation

Your core responsibilities

Operations management

  • Oversee the operations of EBAH, ensuring smooth management of database systems, applications, and internal processes. Coordinate tasks and resources to meet the daily operational needs of the organization.
  • Collect and perform the first check of CME organizers and CME activities accreditation applications for approval.

Relationship management

  • Serve as the key point of contact for the EBAH Committee, collaborative partners, and external providers.
  • Foster strong working relationships to ensure that EBAH’s objectives and projects are successfully implemented.
  • Maintain and expand relationships and collaborations with relevant CME-CPD accreditation bodies in Europe.

Reporting and data analysis

  • Manage the reporting requirements for EBAH and its partners, ensuring that accreditation applications are reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Produce standard and ad hoc reports, using various analytical tools, to support management decisions, audit sampling, and publications.
  • Analyze and validate data entered by CME stakeholders, ensuring its completeness and accuracy.

Strategic planning and collaboration

  • Foster collaboration between EBAH, its committee members, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment with EBAH’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies for EBAH growth, effective reporting, stakeholder engagement, and operational management within EBAH.

Your profile

  • Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience: At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in CME accreditation environment, data analysis, and stakeholder management.
  • Availability: 40 hours per week.
  • Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of CME accreditation in Europe, data analysis, reporting systems, and stakeholder management.
  • Skilled in using analytical tools for data validation and report generation.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross functionally and with external partners.
  • Ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams and external collaborators.
  • Strong networking and business development skills.
  • Affinity with technical applications for accreditation.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong, hands-on mentality. An independent self-starter.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel outside the Netherlands on a regular basis (mostly within Europe)
