Support for SWG scientific meetings
The call is open until 12:00 CEST on April 30, 2026.
Apply hereSharing novel research findings is an essential way for us to advance progress in hematology. We enable this by providing financial support to Specialized Working Groups (SWGs) so they can hold scientific meetings.
These scientific meetings allow SWG members to:
- Share research updates
- Make important connections with colleagues from around the world
- Identify future opportunities for collaboration
Financial support
We can support 2 SWG scientific meetings per this call to be organized in 2028.
These funds can be used for:
- Meeting facilities and event organization—in the form of in-kind support from EHA
- Flights—these must be economy class tickets for flights of less than eight hours or premium economy class tickets for flights of over eight hours
- On-the-ground transportation for the meeting Chairs and speakers —these costs will be reimbursed after the meeting
- Hotel accommodation for the length of the meeting for a maximum of 20 speakers/chairs, including up to 2 non-European speakers
- Complimentary registration for the session’s chairs and speakers
- A faculty dinner and welcome reception
The funding remains the same for joint proposals from multiple SWGs or hematology societies.
A single SWG can submit multiple proposals.
If this support will not cover all of your meeting costs, you can seek additional funding by:
- Charging a registration fee
- Obtaining sponsorship
How to apply
To apply for support, only the Chair or Vice-Chair of the relevant SWG must:

- Novelty and relevance to current trends in hematology
- Engagement, scientific, and educational value
- Sponsor interest (for clinical meetings)
