Board elections
Shape the future of EHA by taking part in our 2025 Board elections.
Nominations will open on January 7, 2025.
What a Board election involves
The EHA Board is the governing body of our association. It sets our overarching goals and objectives, in line with EHA's statutes.
Every year, EHA members help to shape our organization by selecting members of this governing body. They do this by taking part in an election process with two phases:
- A nomination phase, in which eligible EHA members can nominate other members or themselves
- A ballot phase, in which eligible EHA members are invited to vote for their preferred candidate

What does an EHA Board member commit to?
Being a Board member entails a significant time commitment.

During this time, you'll be expected to:
- Attend monthly board meetings (virtually)
- Attend quarterly meetings (in person)
- Participate in high-profile activities and projects
Candidate profile

How the nomination phase works
During this phase, all eligible EHA members are invited to nominate either:
- Themselves
- Another EHA member whom they believe to be an outstanding leader in their field
If you're an eligible EHA member, you'll receive an email about this when the nomination phase begins. We'll also publish detailed information on this page.
If someone nominates you
You'll receive an email from EHA that asks you to complete a full nomination form. You only need to complete this form if you wish to be considered for a role.
How the ballot phase works
EHA's Nomination Committee prepares a list of candidates for the ballot. It does this by considering all nominees, whilst taking into account the needs of the organization.
All eligible EHA members then receive an invitation to use their democratic rights and vote for their preferred candidate per vacancy.
Based on the results of the ballot, the new councilors will be appointed to the EHA Board at the Annual General Meeting. This will be held during the EHA Congress.
