Overview
The Good Governance Committee (GGC) is responsible for guarding EHA’s image, position, and performance as a non-profit membership organization for the public benefit. We do this in line with international standards and procedures on good governance.
The GGC:
- Serves as an advisory body to the EHA Board
- Provides solicited and unsolicited advice on all matters concerning good governance
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate EHA’s Board regulations and related procedures.
- Review and evaluate EHA’s conflict of interest policy and procedures.
- Provide the EHA Board and its committees with solicited and unsolicited advice on all matters concerning good governance.
- Actively follow developments in the area of good governance, internally and externally, and follow up on such developments in a timely and adequate matter.
Composition
We’re comprised of the following:
- A Chair (non-Board member)
- A Vice-Chair (non-Board member)
- The EHA Executive Director
- Up to four expert members
Rotation
The Chair, Vice-Chair, and members serve for three years with the possibility of one reappointment.
Meetings
In a typical year, our members take part in:
- Two physical meetings
- Regular teleconferences
- One meeting with the EHA Board
