Since 1999, EHA has used its awards program to acknowledge successes within our global community of hematologists. You can read about our many prestigious winners in the previous awards section.
In 2024, following a review of our awards process and categories, we decided to renew our approach to celebrating breakthroughs and highlighting outstanding achievements. Going forward, our award categories will be as follows:
- EHA Lifetime Achievement Award
- EHA Clinical Excellence Award
- EHA Research Excellence Award
- EHA Education and Mentoring Award
- EHA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award
- Young EHA Award (to be introduced at the EHA2025 Congress)
- HemaSphere Editors' Pick Award
Nomination and selection process
As part of this refreshed approach to our awards, we've redesigned the nomination and selection process to be more inclusive and transparent. The process will now involve:
- An open call for nominations that extends to our full EHA membership
- An evaluation of the candidates by a representative selection panel
You can find out more about how we select award winners on our selection process page.
How to nominate
By nominating an EHA member, you can recognize someone who has:
- Contributed to your career personally
- Made an outstanding contribution to the field
This is your opportunity to reward the hard work and unwavering dedication it takes to advance knowledge and build a community committed to excellence.
