Publication of EHA Annual General Meeting 2023 minutes
The 2023 EHA Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place in Frankfurt, Germany on June 9, 2023. For many years the AGM, formerly known as the Business Meeting, was scheduled as the final meeting at the end of the Annual Congress on Sunday. By rescheduling the meeting on the Friday, and making the meeting format hybrid, with a virtual option, the number of participants increased compared to past years.
During the AGM, EHA's sovereign authority, members can vote on important issues linked to EHA developments and Governance, connect with esteemed colleagues, learn about achievements in the past year and plans for the (near) future, and contribute to shaping the landscape of hematology and EHA.
At the AGM a summary of the Annual Report for 2022 was presented in a video, the financial report was presented by Konstanze Döhner, Treasurer. Martina Muckenthaler, Chair Nomination Committee presented the outcomes of the nominations and ballot for the EHA Board. Two new councilors were appointed, and the rotation of the Executive Board was approved by the assembled members, followed by the farewell of Board members rotating off, John Gribben and Carol Moreno, and the presidential hand-over from Elizabeth Macintyre to Antonio Almeida.
