Speakers
Dr Fabiola Guerra
Fabiola Guerra works as an MD at the Pediatric Hematology Outpatient Clinic of Fondazione IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori in Monza, Italy. She has a strong focus on the diagnosis and treatment of non-malignant hematological disorders in children.
Alongside her clinical role, she’s pursuing a PhD through a joint program between the University of Milano-Bicocca and Surrey University.
Her research focuses on applying multi-omics approaches to investigate B-cell hematological disorders, particularly PI4KA-related disorders and activated phosphoinositide 3-kinase delta syndrome. Experimental studies are conducted at the Tettamanti Research Center, with the aim of developing a comprehensive computational model to enhance the understanding and treatment of these rare, complex conditions.
She focuses on integrating clinical practice with laboratory research, addressing rare immuno-hematological disorders that often present with atypical phenotypes or previously unrecognized genetic etiologies.
