Dr. Pier Giorgio Cojutti, University of Bologna, Italy
Dr. Pier Giorgio Cojutti is a medical doctor who completed his clinical pharmacology residency and earned a PhD in pharmacology at the University of Udine, Italy. He had a post-doc fellowship at University of Liverpool, UK. At present, he is an associate professor of clinical pharmacology at University of Bologna and a consultant clinical pharmacologist at the Clinical Pharmacology Unit of the Sant’Orsola Malpighi University Hospital of Bologna, Italy. His hospital activity is focused on TDM of antimicrobials in complex patients with severe infections, including critically ill and onco-hematological patients. He is author of more than 100 original research papers in the area of anti-infective chemotherapy, with a particular interest on pharmacometrics, population modelling, and PK/PD relationship linking exposure with different biomarkers of response. He currently serves as reviewer for several infectious diseases and clinical pharmacology journals.
