Aim of the course:
Pediatric Hematooncology is a very specialized branch of hematology. It is one of the paradigm hematology sub-specialties for consideration at a European level, since there are too few specialists and trainees to organize training on a national level within each country. This led to an intensive course targeting residents in pediatrics who are actively working in specialized centers in various countries, including those beyond the EU.
The emphasis of the course is on problem-solving using real clinical cases and linking basic science to the clinic. An additional important objective of the course has always been to create a friendly and informal atmosphere that encourages the exchange of scientific ideas for ongoing and future projects between participants and faculty members.
The average number of participants is 65-70.
