Abstract submission
By submitting an abstract, you make a formal commitment to present it orally or as a poster at a time assigned by the Scientific Program Committee (SPC).
In order to a present your abstract:
- It must have been accepted
- You must to be registered for the meeting
Before you submit an abstract, you should read the submission guidelines for the EHA Research Conference 2026 (ReCon 2026) (PDF, 186 KB).
Key dates and deadlines
Round one: oral and poster presentations
- July 16, 2025—Round one abstract submission opens
- November 24, 2025 (23:59 CET)—Deadline one for abstract submission (oral and poster presentations)
- December 8, 2025—Abstract allocation notification
- December 17, 2025 (23:59 CET)—Deadline for withdrawing from first round abstract submission
Round two: poster presentations only
- November 25, 2025—Round two abstract submission opens
- January 8, 2026 (23:59 CET)—Deadline two for abstract submission (poster presentations only)
- January 19, 2026—Abstract allocation notification (Notification will also go out to poster presenters who submitted in the first period but invited to give a Poster Pitch presentation)
- February 1, 2026 (23:59 CET)—Deadline for withdrawing from second round abstract submission
Submissions received after January 8, 2026 (23:59 CET), will not be considered.
Abstract review and notification
All abstracts will be reviewed and allocated by the Scientific Program Committee, and the submitting authors will receive the notification and instructions by email.

Abstract topics
Please select the most appropriate topic during the abstract submission.
- Clonal dynamics during development and aging.
- Inherited predispositions for early and late onset hematologic disease.
- Immune dysfunction in early, intermediate and later life.
- Stress hematopoiesis (inc. inflammation): from hematopoietic specification through to old age.
- Age-dependent roles of the hematologic microenvironment.
- Hematologic malignancies: from childhood through to old age.
Submission specifications
- Title count: maximum 300 characters including spaces.
- Character limit: 3,500 characters (including spaces, punctuation, and headers in the template).
- Subheadings: use ‘Background,’ ‘Aims,’ ‘Methods,’ ‘Results,’ and ‘Summary – Conclusion.’
- Images must be submitted as JPEG, TIF, or GIF files.
- Due to limited space, only a simple graph/image can be submitted.
- Images and graphs should reproduce well in black and white.
- Image files should not exceed 500 KB.
- There’s no limit to the number of authors.
- References are obligatory when submitting an abstract or clinical case.
Benefits of submission
For oral abstract presenters (excluding poster pitch presenters)
- Ten-minute oral presentation integrated in the program
- Complimentary registration for ReCon 2026.
- Complimentary accommodation during the conference (maximum three nights, at HQ hotel Radisson Blu Espoo), arranged by EHA.
For poster presenters
- Poster on display for the duration of the meeting
- Dedicated poster session to present the poster
- Poster presenters are eligible for the Early Fee (if registered before January 8, 2026 23:59 CET). Presenters notified during the second round will be given a discount code, valid until February 1, 2026 (23:59 CET)
- The highest scoring posters will be selected for an oral ‘pitch’ presentation in addition to having a poster in the poster area.
Poster awards
The best three poster presentations on site will receive an award and complimentary registration to the EHA2026 Congress.
The ReCon 2026 SPC will nominate winners on site, based on their poster presentation (not the pitch).
