Guidelines Committee call for interest

The aim of the Guidelines Committee is to promote and support the creation and adoption of guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of hematologic diseases. It carries out this work in close collaboration with the EHA Specialized Working Groups (SWGs) and other medical societies and associations.

This year, we are looking for three Guidelines Committee members.

Roles

  • Vacancy 1 is for a high-profile clinician and established group leader who is in expert in platelet disorders, thrombosis, and hemostasis. You must also have experience of producing clinical practice guidelines.
  • Vacancy 2 is for a high-profile clinician and established group leader who is an expert in malignant lymphoid disorders. You must also have experience of producing clinical practice guidelines.
  • Vacancy 3 is for a patient advocate, representing different disease areas. You must also have experience of contributing to the development of clinical practice guidelines.

In all cases, you must be passionate about providing guidance to hematologists.

Workload

The typical workload is approximately three hours a month.

You must also be available to attend at least 75% of the committee's:

  • Virtual meetings
  • Face-to-face meetings (one full-day meeting in The Hague and a one-hour meeting at the annual EHA Congress)

Appointment period

The appointment will last for three years.
