Eligibility criteria and application guidelines

We’ll select 25 applicants for this preceptorship. All of them will receive a travel grant.

It is not possible to register for the meeting and come using your own expenses.

Below, we outline the eligibility criteria and how you can apply for this opportunity. Once you’re ready, you can complete our online application form.

Eligibility criteria

Applications will be reviewed based on the following criteria.

As an applicant, you must have 2–5 years of experience in diagnosis and clinical aspects of acute leukemias. Your field/status is one of the following:

  • Post-doctoral research
  • Junior faculty member
  • Clinician
  • Diagnostic specialist
  • Resident in hematology

In addition, you must also:

  • Be associated with a research institution, university, or healthcare organization
  • Have acute leukemias as your area of interest
  • Be an EHA member or have applied by July 1, 2025
  • Have paid your EHA membership fee by July 1, 2025
  • Currently reside in Europe

Information you must provide

If you apply, you’ll be asked to provide the following:

  • Confirmation that you paid your EHA membership fee by July 1, 2025
  • Your EHA membership number
  • A motivation letter (maximum 2,000 characters, including spaces)
  • A scientific CV

Selection process

  • The preceptorship meeting chairs will review the applications.
  • Only applications that fit the eligibility criteria will be considered.
  • The selection of travel grant recipients will be at the meeting chairs’ discretion.
  • The number of available travel grants is limited to 25.

What a travel grant covers

The travel grant includes:

  • Complimentary registration, arranged by EHA, for on-site attendance only
  • € 1,000 compensation for travel arrangements and accommodation

You must complete a form in order to receive the compensation. The grant amount will be transferred after the meeting.

Obligations of grant recipients

Grant recipients must:

  • Confirm their acceptance by August 22, 2025
  • Provide any necessary documentation to facilitate the arrangements
  • Attend the full preceptorship—and sign in at the beginning of each day

Key dates and deadlines

  • June 2, 2025—Applications open
  • July 20, 2025 (23:59 CEST)—Applications close
  • August 8, 2025—Applicants are notified of their travel grant status
  • August 22, 2025 (23:59 CEST)—Deadline for recipients to confirm that they accept
