Eligibility

This program supports EHA members who are launching their independent research careers, whether they have just begun or are within three years of starting their own group. 

Applicant: 

• Must be an EHA member.   

• Must be junior faculty holding an MD or MD/PhD.  

• Must work in a European institution, but does not have to hold European nationality.

Restrictions: 

• Applicants cannot be part of a current EHA Training program.  

• Applicants cannot have participated in an EHA Research Training program in the past 12 months. 

EHA’s Policy on Life Events & Eligibility 

For each child/pregnancy, a mother can add 18 months to the time since graduation, and a father can add 3 months. 

Other life events, e.g., military service, disease, or lab closure, can also extend the period of eligibility but must be justified. If you have doubts regarding your eligibility, please contact the EHA office at [training@ehaweb.org]
