EHA advances stakeholder dialogue to support the future of hematology

Last week marked an important milestone for EHA as we devoted a full week to bringing key stakeholders together to discuss matters of mutual importance for the hematology community.

Through two complementary engagements, our annual National Societies Days 2026 and the inaugural EHA Industry Strategic Forum, we strengthened our shared commitment to addressing overarching issues that impact the entire field of hematology and all its stakeholders in different ways.

National Societies Days 2026

National Societies Days convened 28 representatives from across Europe, reinforcing the value of borderless collaboration. Over two days, participants exchanged success stories, explored practical solutions, and identified challenges requiring unified approaches.

Discussions highlighted the need for improved shared decision‑making, standardized definitions for hematology professionals, stronger cross‑border exchange through centers of excellence, and actionable steps to address burnout and barriers to harmonizing guidelines.

Inaugural Industry Strategic Forum

Building on this momentum, the inaugural EHA Industry Strategic Forum brought together representatives from industry partners to shape a responsible, transparent, and multi‑stakeholder platform.

Conversations focused on aligning priorities, understanding shared system-level challenges, and defining what inclusive collaboration looks like within a compliant, non-commercial framework.

Participants emphasized the importance of addressing access to innovation, evidence generation, real-world data, and the translation of science into clinical practice.

Together, these engagements represent tangible progress in realizing EHA’s Agenda 2030 strategy. EHA is laying the groundwork for long‑term solutions that strengthen the field and improve outcomes for every hematology patient through integrated dialogue.
