Apply to be a Master Class mentor
Applications closed on July 15, 2024.
There are two types of Master Class mentor: junior mentor and senior mentor. Before you apply, make sure you've read and understood the relevant eligibility criteria.
Eligibility
Junior mentor
To take part as a junior mentor, you must be:
- A former Master Class mentee
- An active participant during the program
- In your last year of residency
You must also have the support of the individuals who mentored you when you were a mentee.
Senior mentor
If you have been a Master Class mentee
To take part, you must have:
- Two years of junior mentorship
- A recommendation from a senior mentor
- Completed your training in hematology
If you have not been a Master Class mentee
To take part, you must:
- Have completed your training in hematology
- Shadow an existing mentor as part of your onboarding
- Commit to being involved in a minimum of three out of five cases for one program cycle
Only after this, and with the support of the senior mentor, will you be assigned to an independent group as a senior mentor.
Information you must provide
In all cases, you'll need to share the following details on your application form:
- If you were a mentor before
- If you've been recommended by another mentor
- Your motivation to become a mentor
- What qualities you think make a good mentor
- What you consider to be the role and function of a mentor
- How you would manage absent mentees
You must also upload a copy of your CV.
