Apply to be a Master Class mentor

There are two types of Master Class mentor: junior and senior. There are also two programs: adult and pediatric.
Before you apply, make sure you've read and understood the relevant eligibility criteria.
When you submit your application, you'll be asked whether you want to participate in the adult or the pediatric program.
What you can expect as a mentor

Eligibility
Junior mentor
To take part as a junior mentor, you must be:
- A former Master Class mentee
- An active participant during the program
- In your last year of residency
You must also have the support of the individuals who mentored you when you were a mentee. So that we have evidence of this, we ask you to include a recommendation letter with your application.
Senior mentor
If you have been a Master Class mentee
To take part, you must:
- Be an experienced hematologist
- Have at least two years of junior mentorship
- Have a recommendation letter from a senior mentor
- Be able to commit for active participation throughout the program
If you have not been a Master Class mentee
To take part, you must:
- Have completed your training in hematology
- Shadow an existing mentor as part of your onboarding
- Commit to being involved in a minimum of three out of five cases for one program cycle
Only after this, and with the support of the senior mentor, will you be assigned to an independent group as a senior mentor.
Information you must provide
In all cases, you'll need to share the following details as part of your application:
- Area of expertise
- Preference on Master Class track (adult or pediatric)
- Motivation for participation
- Professional experience
- EHA membership number
- If you have participated in the Master Class previously as a mentor or a mentee, and when you did so
If you're applying as junior mentor, you must also include a recommendation letter.
Other information
Please note that this program runs from September 2025 to February 2026 (pediatric) or April 2026 (adult) and will demand your attendance and active participation.
