European Research Initiative on CLL (ERIC)
ERIC is dedicated to improving the outcome of patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) and related diseases. We’re an independent body that engages with EHA as an SWG to avoid overlapping activities.
Our objectives include promoting:
- Research in all aspects of chronic lymphocytic leukemia and related diseases
- The exchange and dissemination of knowledge and information in chronic lymphocytic leukemia and related diseases
- Education and instruction in chronic lymphocytic leukemia and related diseases
Our educational initiatives include the:
- Organization of hands-on educational workshops
- Implementation of Technical Certification Rounds (Certification of TP53 Mutational Analysis and Certification of IG gene sequence analysis)
Our research activities include investigator-driven collaborative translational projects to study the potential association between biological and molecular markers and clinical outcomes.
Our clinical guidance initiatives consist of the production and publication of recommendations on the use of prognostic/predictive markers, including:
- TP53 aberrations
- Immunoglobulin gene analysis
- Minimal residual disease detection
- Allogeneic stem cell transplant
We share our data with the following networks:
- LeukemiaNet
- IMI2 Consortium Harmony
- National hematological societies
