Overarching Specialized Working Group on Diagnostics in Hematology

Overview

Diagnostics in hematology is such an important topic at EHA that multiple committees, taskforces, and Specialized Working Groups (SWGs) address some diagnostic aspects. The Diagnostics in Hematology Overarching SWG was created to bring leaders from these groups together to enable knowledge sharing at the highest level.

Our priorities

  • Harmonization and standardization of diagnostics in hematology.
  • Education for young and advanced hematologists (preceptorships and internships), including organization, with ISLH, of the laboratory hematology workshop during Congress.
  • Engagement with regulatory bodies and stakeholders involved in diagnostics.

To establish a strategic framework for improved quality, accessibility, and integration of diagnostics in clinical practice and research across Europe, ensuring optimal care for all patients with hematological diseases.
