Highlights

1st Joint Educational Course with EHA on Hereditary Anemias

Date and location: May 7, 2025, Türkiye

Following the success of the Joint Symposium in 2024, organized with SWG and the Turkish Pediatric Society of Hematology, the Joint Educational Course was organized. It was held as case presentations and expert reviews.

Young Turkish EHA members who participated in the Mentee programs delivered case presentations on each topic. Experts from both sides, Turkish and EHA, then discussed the cases interactively with the audience.

The format of the presentations was discussed later with the program participants. Each topic lasted approximately 45 minutes: a 15-minute case presentation followed by 30 minutes of discussion and Q&A.

Chair of the session: Maria Ester Bernardo (Vice-Chair of SWG on Pediatric Hematology)

Experts: Paola Corti (Italy), Guliana Ferrari (Italy, online) and Joanne Yakobovich (Israel, online)
