PETRA project – Towards a Pan-European Transfusion Research infrAstructure’
Members of the SWG actively participated in this project, which aims to connect data from the donor to the patient (‘vein-to-vein’ registries).

PETRA was presented during ISBT congress in 2025, with oral presentation– more info in the section Scientific and educational activities. The project is aimed to continue in 2026.
CAR-T project
Ongoing research aiming at deeper understanding of certain complications and transfusion needs in CAR-T patients.
Publication highlights
Collaboration with European Medicines Agency (EMA) – members of the group actively participated in recommendations for strengthening supply chain of anti-D immunoglobulins.
