Specialized Working Group on Thromboctopenias and Platelet Function Disorders (TPFD)

Overview

The TPFD SWG’s purpose is to enable communication and networking related to thromboctopenias and platelet function disorders–across Europe and beyond.

Our goals include:

  • Promoting education and instruction in platelet disorders by scientific conference, webinars, and the annual meeting at the EHA Congress
  • Developing guidelines for diagnosis and/or treatment of thrombocytopenias and platelet function disorders
  • Promoting clinical and laboratory studies on thrombocytopenias and platelet function disorders
  • Stimulating, whenever possible, joint initiatives with other SWGs and other scientific societies interested in platelet diseases

Clinical and laboratory studies are conducted under the auspices of the SWG, but are open to collaboration with all interested researchers.
