Young EHA Committee members

The mission of the Young EHA committee is to represent the voice of early career professionals in hematology within EHA, to engage these junior members in the community and EHA-related activities, and to foster the Young EHA community within the field of hematology.

We are looking for four new Young EHA Committee members who meet the following criteria:

  • Early career hematology professionals (e.g. researcher, clinician, bioinformatician, pathologist, physician scientist, statistician, or similar).
  • Interested in representing the voice of Young EHA professionals in hematology and to engage this community.
  • Able to contribute ideas, skills, or tools that can augment Young EHA’s impact.
  • Passionate about a transparent and inclusive hematology community.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic about teamwork and international collaboration.
  • Willing and able to dedicate time and energy to initiate and manage projects, including attending regular online and face-to-face meetings.

We welcome anyone with an interest in the Young EHA committee to apply. Based on the current composition of the committee, we especially welcome fundamental researchers and applicants from countries that are not yet represented.  

Workload

  • Meetings: Available to attend at least 75% of committee online (once every 2-3 months) and face-to-face meetings (twice per year, once in The Hague, Netherlands in the first half of the year and once at the EHA Annual Congress in June).  
  • Once you are a committee member, you may be asked to represent the Young EHA committee on another EHA Committee.
  • Committee members work on initiatives in subgroups for which we expect you to make time (this is highly variable but estimated to be between 3 and 6 hours per month).

Appointment

Appointment is for a period of 3 years with the possibility of 1 reappointment.
