The meeting is part of the EHA Topics-in-Focus (TIF) Hemoglobinopathies Program. The goals of this program are to:

  • Educate and expand awareness of increasingly common genetic diseases like sickle cell disease and beta-thalassemia
  • Develop and optimize a European regulatory framework for sickle cell disease and beta-thalassemia
