Submission and eligibility guidelines

Criteria
Travel grant applications will be reviewed based on the following criteria:
- Hold a medical degree or equivalent qualification
- Have 1–2 years of experience in hematology or a related field
- Be an early- or mid-career professional (including clinicians, lab technicians, and pathologists)
- Applicant’s area of interest is in SCD research and clinical management
- The applicant is an EHA member or has applied for the membership by October 15, 2025 and completed the membership fee payment by October 27, 2025.
- Be able to attend the preceptorship in person at the Hôpital Necker in Paris, France, from January 28-30, 2026.
Attendees can be from anywhere in the world, but they must be EHA members to be eligible to participate.
The travel grant includes complimentary registration arranged by EHA for on-site attendance only and a €1,500 compensation for travel arrangements and accommodation (reimbursed after the meeting).
Application process
The applications will be reviewed by the preceptorship meeting chairs. Only applications that fit the eligibility criteria will be considered.

- October 15, 2025: Travel grant application opens
- November 16, 2025: Travel grant application Deadline
- November 26, 2025: Notification of recipients
- December 3, 2025: Travel grant recipients confirmation Deadline
