Specialized Working Group on Granulocytes and Constitutional Marrow Failure Syndromes (G&CMFS)
Overview
The G&CMFS SWG’s mission is to further the collective knowledge of the wider hematology community by developing and sharing expertise on this group of rare diseases.
We’re also active in fostering a collaborative network of centers that are active in this area across Europe and beyond.
We were originally formed by the fusion of the Granulocyte and Monocyte Disorders SWG with other constitutional marrow failure syndromes initiatives. These initiatives included the ribosome disorders group, the leukemia predisposition gene group, and the group on Gaucher disease.
In this view, the SWG promoted during the COVID pandemic:
- Recommendations on how to handle the infections
- Expert opinions for COVID-19 vaccination in patients with non-malignant hematologic diseases
We are proud to have developed a close and fruitful collaboration with the European Network for Innovative Diagnosis and treatment of Chronic Neutropenias (EuNet-INNOCHRON, COST Action CA18233).
