EHA2024 Congress

EHA2024 took place in Madrid, Spain, from June 13–16, 2024.

SWG activity during Congress included a:

  • Talk by H.A. Papadak during the SWG session: ‘New insights in chronic idiopathic neutropenia of adults’
  • Guidelines session talk by Dr F. Fioredda: ‘Overview of the guidelines’
  • Guidelines Session talk by Dr M. Spanoudakis: ‘Presentation of a clinical case’

ASH Annual Meeting 2024

The ASH Annual Meeting 2024 took place in San Diego, USA. Dr Carlo Dufour took part in the ‘ASH-a-Palooza’ mentorship session on December 6, 2024.

Severe Chronic Neutropenia International Registry Meeting

This meeting took place on December 6, 2024. A member of the SWG participated as an Advisory Board Member.

EBMT Educational Meeting

The EBMT Educational Meeting was held in Genoa, Italy, from Sept 12–13, 2024. Carlo Dufour delivered a presentation on ‘Constitutional Bone Marrow Failure in Adults.’

Fanconi Anemia Cancer Association Annual Meeting

This meeting took place in Charlotte, USA, on September 19, 2024. Carlo Dufour delivered a presentation on ‘Mitochondrial Changes in Transplanted FA Patient.’

ESH/EHA/EBMT Meeting on Bone Marrow Failures

The ESH/EHA/EBMT Meeting on Bone Marrow Failures was held in Paris, France, November 15–17, 2024.

During the event:

  • Carlo Dufour delivered a talk on ‘Atypical Constitutional Bone Marrow Failure’
  • Maurizio Miano delivered a talk on ‘DADA’

Hellenic Haematology Association Meeting

This meeting took place in Thessaloniki, Greece, from November 7–9, 2024.

The SWG led a ‘meet the expert’ session entitled ‘How I Investigate Neutropenia.’

Other activities

  • An SWG Chairs meeting was held in The Hague, the Netherlands, from June 20–21, 2024.
  • At the EHA2024 Congress, Carlo Dufour was appointed as the Chair of Guidelines Committee.

Collaboration on international projects

Dr. Papadaki H. coordinates the CA18233 COST Action EuNet-INNOCHRON project, which is focused on chronic neutropenias and collaborates closely with the SWG.

The CA18233 COST Action EuNet-INNOCHRON project’s final meeting was held in Chania, Crete, Greece, from April 4-6, 2024.
