Location: Gdańsk, Poland

Collaborating Specialized Working Groups (SWGs):
Overview
This comprehensive two-day meeting consists of lectures, panel discussions, and case reports. It will include a workshop on geriatric assessment and its use in clinical practice, and a session on patient-related outcomes and quality-of-life issues.
Program
Recent advances have introduced various new immunotherapies and targeted treatments for lymphomas and other blood cancers, improving outcomes even for previously untreatable patients. However, these therapies come with higher costs and unequal access across Europe. Challenges remain in daily practice, including resistance to treatment, severe side effects, and the need to consider patient age, fitness, and comorbidities, especially as the population ages.
To address these issues, this meeting will bring together experts for lectures, discussions, and workshops focused on integrating patient care, research, and education, with particular emphasis on geriatric assessment and real-world treatment experiences. The event targets physicians and scientists with clinical experience in lymphoma and immunotherapy.
Learning objectives
By attending this meeting, participants will be able to:
- Provide beyond state-of-the-art knowledge on new therapeutic standards, clinical outcomes, prognostic factors and side effects, especially related to antibody-based and cellular immunotherapies with a special emphasis on elderly, frail and comorbid patients.
- Discuss differences between clinical trials and real-life experience and consequences of incomplete access to various therapeutic options in different European countries.
- Stress the importance and possibilities of geriatric assessment for making appropriate treatment choices.
