Transportation information

Thank you for registering for the EHA Research Conference 2026: From cradle to grave: normal and malignant hematopoiesis in young and aged settings. The conference is scheduled to take place from March 23–26, 2026, in Espoo, Finland.

As the meeting venue, Dipoli – Aalto University (Otakaari 24, Otaniemi, 02150 Espoo, Finland), is well connected, EHA is not arranging transfers for attendees to and from the airport.

Please see below some tips for arranging your journey to the meeting venue.

Buying a public transportation ticket

Dipoli – Alto University is in zone B.

Single metro, light rail, tram, or bus tickets can be bought in advance from:

Traveling to Otaniemi from Helsinki-Vantaa airport

Otaniemi is approximately 22 km away from Helsinki-Vantaa airport.

Public transport

Public transport from the airport to Otaniemi takes about an hour. The main route is as follows.

  1. Take a train or bus to Helsinki Central Railway station (Rautatientori).
  2. Take the metro (M1 Line, direction Puotila) to Aalto University (Aalto-yliopisto station).

Taxi

The taxi fare from the airport to Otaniemi is around €40.

Travel time is about 30 minutes.

Traveling to Otaniemi by bus/light rail

Otaniemi is easily accessible by bus and light rail line 15.

The light rail runs every six minutes on weekdays, with three stops in Otaniemi. These are:

  • Otaranta
  • Aalto University metro station
  • Maari

Parking at Otaniemi

Parking is available near most Otaniemi campus buildings and along some of the streets.
