Specialized Working Groups

EHA’s Specialized Working Groups (SWGs) foster science and spread knowledge in basic, translational, and clinical research in hematology.

To ensure we cover the full field of hematology and provide a research platform for all groups and researchers, we’ve established two types of SWG:

  • Disease-oriented SWGs—which cover specific topics such as leukemias and lymphomas
  • Overarching SWGs—which cover broad themes such as aging and precision medicine

This model is based on the nine sections of the EHA Roadmap for European Hematology Research.

There are currently 25 SWGs. You can use the filter below to view them by type.

How to join an SWG

If you’re interested in making new connections or sharing your expertise, you can apply to join an SWG. To do this, just follow the instructions on the main page of the relevant SWG.

SWG Grants

EHA provides financial support to small research projects initiated by our SWGs. You can find out more about his support, and discover some of the projects we’ve already supported, in the SWG Grants section.
