Young EHA Award

The Young EHA Award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated impactful scientific, clinical, or community achievements that align with EHA’s commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability.

The nominated person must be:

  • An early-career professional or researcher in hematology or a closely related field
  • Under 37 years of age at the time of submission

2026 winner

The 2026 winner of the Young EHA Award is Dr Nico Gagelmann (Germany).

Dr Gagelmann has demonstrated visionary leadership by creating structures that enhance global collaboration among young hematologists. His contributions include groundbreaking research in allogeneic stem cell transplantation, innovative predictive modeling, and fostering interdisciplinary cooperation. Known for dynamic presentations and a high volume of quality research, he also mentors young volunteers and builds networks that promote collaboration and growth.
