The Young EHA Award celebrates notable achievements and leadership by early-career professionals under the age of 37.

The nominated person must be:

• An early-career professional or researcher in hematology or a closely related field
• Under 37 years of age at the time of submission

2026 winner

The 2026 winner of the Young EHA Award is Dr Nico Gagelmann (Germany).

Dr Gagelmann has demonstrated visionary leadership by creating structures that enhance global collaboration among young hematologists. His contributions include groundbreaking research in stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy, alongside fostering interdisciplinary cooperation. Known for dynamic presentations and a high volume of quality research, he also mentors young volunteers and builds networks that promote collaboration and growth.
