SWG Educational Activities
During the annual meeting of EHA, a scientific session was organized: “Mesenchymal stromal cells: guardians of tissue homeostasis”. Speakers included Don Finney (The Scripps Research Institute, Jupiter, Florida, USA), who discussed the role of MSC derived exosome as a potential novel treatment; and Lucie Peduto, from Institute Pasteur in Paris, who discussed the role of CD34+ mesenchymal cells in the stem cell niche.
Members of the SWG have presented at various international meetings in Europe, Asia and North America. Wim Fibbe became a member of the Commission of Advanced Therapies of EMA.
