Dr Michal Dvori (speaker)
During high-school studies, Dr. Dvori finished a bachelor's degree in psychology at the Open University. Thereafter, she studied medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
She did her internship in medicine at Rambam Medical Center, Haifa, Israel. She completed pediatrics residency at Sheba Medical Center, Ramat Gan, Israel.
A year ago, she finished her fellowship in pediatric hemato-oncology at Schneider Medical Center. She is especially interested in benign, or classical, hematology and enjoys this field very much.
Prof Maurizio Miano (expert)
Maurizio Miano works in the Haematology Unit of the Department of Paediatric Haematology/Oncology at IRCCS Istituto Giannina Gaslini Children’s Hospital in Genoa, Italy. As part of his work there, he deals with patients with both malignant and non-malignant hematological disorders.
He visited the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center for a year, where he was involved in the immune-dysregulation and bone marrow failure programs.
His research interests mainly include Autoimmune Cytopenias, Primary Immune Regulatory Disorders and Bone Marrow Failures.
He plays an active role in the Specialized Working Groups on Pediatric Haematology and on Granulocytes/Constitutional Marrow Failure Disorders, and in EHA's Adolescent and Young Adults Taskforce. He is also actively involved in the Severe Aplastic Anemia Working Party of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation.
He is a Substitute Representative of Eurobloodnet-European Reference Network on Rare Hematological Diseases and a member of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies and of the Clinical Immunology Society.
He has published over 100 papers, including chapters in hematological textbooks.
