What the program offers

Master Class is a specialized educational preceptorship program that provides advanced training and education in specific areas of hematology.

There are two versions of the program. Participants can focus on either:

  • Pediatric cases
  • Adult cases

Master Class is held entirely online and is open to hematologists anywhere in the world. By taking part as a mentee, you'll get an opportunity to delve deeply into a particular topic within hematology and gain valuable insights into:

  • Clinical practice guidelines
  • Treatment modalities
  • The latest research

Information for mentors

We also welcome applications for the adult and pediatric programs from potential mentors. You can apply to be either a junior or a senior mentor, depending on your experience.

Program overview

You'll have the opportunity to work on either:

  • Three clinical pediatric cases
  • Five clinical adult cases 

Whichever program you choose, the cases will:

With the guidance of two experienced mentors, you'll work within groups of seven or eight peers to create written reports for all of the clinical cases.

Dates and time commitment

The adult hematology program runs from September to May every year.

The pediatric hematology program runs from September to February every year.

Both programs involve online meetings and independent study. You'll be expected to dedicate at least two hours per week to reading and research, particularly when solving challenging cases.
