Code of Conduct
The guidelines below govern the publication of, and commentary on the EHA Hematology Hub. Please read through them before participating.
1. Abide by the rules that normally apply.
Our Community is a platform where people can discuss, connect and share their experiences and information, freely and without judgement. So please be respectful of each other.
2. Avoid politics.
This EHA Hub is set up with the aim of connecting and supporting the wider medical community in sharing their experiences relating to field of hematology. We urge you to not express any political opinions or engage in political activities in the forum.
3. Be transparent.
Do not engage in behavior that could raise conflicts of interests or commitment. If you are posting or responding to posts on topics please ensure that you include a disclaimer when you have a vested interest in something you are discussing. Be the first to point it out and be specific about what it is. Anything you publish must be true and not misleading, and all claims must be substantiated and approved.
4. The privacy of patients is vital.
Patients’ health information should always remain confidential. Never post information that can be used to identify patients, or lead to identifying patients. Here, we emphasize that it is not only about not identifying a patient by name.
5. Practice sound judgement.
Social media is an ideal platform for the organic communication of ideas. That said, you’re in control of what you’re sharing on a public venue. Your actions on the hub have the ability not only to affect yourself, but also the community as a whole. Additionally, never disclose research or any collaborations you might have with colleagues, that have not yet been formally made public / published.
