I am currently the EHA Treasurer, a member of the Executive Board, and the incoming Chair of the Research Committee.
Position of EHA on Research Funding
The challenge
The cost of biomedical research is great, but the cost of disease is immense. An ageing population and expensive innovations in medicine put an increasing burden on already stressed healthcare budgets.
SWG Education Activities
Session at EHA2023The EHA2023 Congress was held in Frankfurt in June 2023. During the event, we held a session with the EHA Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Taskforce on the treatment of AYA patients with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL).

Most impactful activitiesHIV Registry (NCT05231135)This unique retrospective and prospective EHA LyG European registry was initiated in August 2021, but recruitment was stalled due to objections from the local Ethics Committee.

In November and December 2024, SWGs were invited to develop project ideas and apply for a 2025 SWG Grant. For the 2025 call, EHA offered five grants, each worth €30,000.
