Can you tell us what you do for EHA and when you started?
I’m a relatively recent volunteer for EHA, as I only started working with them on their Clinical Research Training in Hematology (CRTH) program in 2016.

EligibilityTo apply to be a menteee, you must be one of the following:
A hematologist
Receiving hematology training
Seeing hematology patients
You must also be an EHA member.
Previous awards
Before the introduction of its current awards program, EHA honored:
Leaders in hematological research through the José Carreras Award (from 1999)
Outstanding physicians and scientists by means of the Jean Bernard Lifetime Achievement Award (from 2008)
In 2018, two further awards were introduced…
EHA Education & Mentoring Award
“Educating and mentoring are a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction. ”
Through this award, EHA recognized excellent teachers and mentors at any stage of their career.
EHA remembers Tessa Holyoake
The Hague, September 2017
We received the sad news of Professor Tessa Holyoake’s passing. Tessa Holyoake was a Professor of Experimental Hematology and the Head of the Paul O'Gorman Leukemia Research Centre.
