The European Hematology Association (EHA), located in the heart of The Hague (Netherlands), is a non-profit professional association serving clinicians and researchers with an active interest in hematology in Europe and beyond. As a Digital Marketer (40 hours per week), you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and managing digital marketing campaigns that enhance EHA’s online presence and promote a stakeholder-centric narrative.
Your work will drive member engagement and elevate EHA’s visibility through innovative strategies. This role involves close collaboration with the Website Specialist and the Public Relations team, reporting directly to the Head of Public Relations.
Only candidates who live in the Netherlands will be considered. If you are a non-EU/EEA national, you must possess a valid work permit for the Netherlands.
Your core responsibilities
Strategy development and planning
- Design and implement digital marketing strategies according to project timelines, budgets, and in alignment with EHA’s overarching organizational strategy.
- Conduct research to identify trends, refine target audiences, find new platforms and channels to deploy.
- Manage and optimize budgets to ensure maximum ROI and achieve KPIs.
Project and campaign coordination
- Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Manage paid online advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, social media).
Digital and social media management
- Oversee paid digital advertising to drive traffic and conversions.
- Manage day-to-day activity on EHA’s social media platforms, including content creation, posting, and follower engagement.
- Tailor strategies to enhance visibility and interaction on each platform.
Content development
- Collaborate with PR & Marketing department colleagues to develop and manage a comprehensive content strategy to support marketing goals.
- Produce and oversee the creation of blogs, videos, and graphics, ensuring alignment with SEO best practices.
- Continuously analyze content performance and implement data-driven improvements.
Search engine marketing (SEM)
- Execute SEM campaigns to improve search visibility and drive website traffic.
- Optimize keyword strategies and monitor campaign performance.
Email marketing
- Design and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and engage members.
- Monitor email performance metrics and optimize campaigns for better results.
Data analysis and reporting
- Track and analyze KPIs across all digital channels to evaluate effectiveness.
- Present performance reports and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct A/B testing to refine strategies.
Your profile
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: Three to five years of experience in digital marketing or a related field.
- Proven expertise in managing successful digital marketing campaigns.
- Hands-on experience with SEO/SEM, social media management, content creation, email marketing, and data analysis.
- Proficient in digital marketing platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEO tools).
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and website management.
- Creative thinker with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
