I first learned about EHA in 2002 when I attended the 7th Congress of EHA in Florence.

Stem Cells
Mission:
The goal of the SWG on Stem Cells is to bring together researchers, biologists and clinicians involved in stem cell research to share their recent advances in the field, as well as to train new junior members.
La Cantera coaching
Disease-orientated training courses for young clinicians and researchers, inspired by a world-renowned football academy model. Call for interest from SWGs
In 2025, EHA will fund an additional course based on the La Cantera model.
Gdf -11 a new target to improve anemia in thalassemia.
β-thalassemias are characterized by ineffective red blood cell (RBC) production, leading to anemia, iron overload, and organ failure. As current treatment options for β-thalassemia are limited, there is a clear unmet need for alternative therapies.
