Hematologic diseases afflict millions of Europeans each year. The European Hematology Association (EHA), located in the heart of The Hague (Netherlands) is a non-profit professional association serving clinicians and researchers with an active interest in hematology in Europe and beyond. Our mission is to promote excellence in patient care through education, research, and advocacy.

Hematology is constantly changing and evolving. We help our members stay up to date by delivering a structured educational program, created by hematologists for hematologists. We offer a range of career development programs to help clinicians and researchers grow professionally and personally. We also advocate for hematologists and hematology at local and international levels.

We are looking for a

Marketing & Public Relations Coordinator

(40 hours per week)

The objective of this role is to assist the EHA PR & Marketing Team in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing, public relations, and communications plans aligned with the division’s strategic goals for the Association.

As Coordinator, you will support the Head of Public Relations and Marketing and will play a crucial role in helping to execute departmental strategies. This includes creating and managing essential project and campaign timelines to support the department's commitment to high-quality deliverables. Proactively collaborating with team members, you will work to stay ahead of deadlines and deploy problem-solving skills to ensure the successful implementation of projects according to agreed-upon plans.

Your responsibilities:

  • Project Management and planning
    • Supports EHA’s PR and Marketing team to develop roll-out plans for departmental strategies.
    • Works according to agreed plans and ensures that deliverables are of a high standard.
    • Creates and manages critical timelines for projects/campaign plans.
    • Works independently to implement projects and coordinates with other team members.
  • Digital and social media support
    • Assists with the management of social media accounts, information releases, and online platforms.
    • Monitors and engages with EHA’s online community, responds to inquiries and comments with the guidance of EHA’s Digital Specialist.
  • Content
    • Content calendar planning & development (digital & traditional as may apply).
    • Creates minor texts such as tactical social media posts; and proofreads and edits marketing collaterals to ensure messaging is in line with EHA brand guidelines and messaging strategy.
  • EHA Congress, Events & Meetings:
    • Coordinate the development of promotional materials for events.
    • Attends events to proactively represent PR and Marketing and to deliver on-site support as may be required.
    • EHA Annual Congress:
      • Supports the organization with the planning and implementation of all Congress-related activities and preparations before the event.
      • On-site support as required, specifically Media Relations / Press Briefing, Annual General Meeting, EHA Booth(s).
  • Departmental Coordination:
    • Coordinates PR & Marketing Department’s weekly meetings, gathers agenda items and sets up agenda, notes key actions for follow-up.
    • Engages with 3rd party providers pertinent to the department’s projects, creates briefs and obtains costings.
    • Coordinates and supports Team members with reporting: deadlines, information gathering, and set up of reports.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelors/master’s degree in marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
  • English first language proficiency: verbal and written.
  • 2-4 years in a marketing environment, agency experience is an advantage.
  • Marketing Project Management and Administration.
  • Track record in hands-on implementation.
  • Established project management & planning skills.
  • Good grasp of digital marketing.
  • Enthusiastic collaborator who works well as part of a team.
  • Motivated, proactive.
  • Living in the Netherlands (for non-European nationals, being in possession of a valid work permit is required).

  • The salary range is between € 2.987,- and € 4.267,- gross per month based on full-time employment.
