We are looking for a Senior Hematologist in the Division of Hematology with a special interest in acute leukemias and myelodysplastic neoplasms.

Contexte 

Lausanne University Hospital (Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois, CHUV) is one of Switzerland's 5 university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne (UNIL) and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, research, and education.

The Division of Hematology is one of the 4 clinical pillars of the UNIL-CHUV Oncology Department, which includes the Lausanne branch of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research. The Hematology Division is also home to the Central Hematology Laboratory, which offers a wide range of diagnostic services, including state-of-the-art oncogenomics, flow cytometry, molecular biology, and coagulation analyses, and is part of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology.

 

Mission

You will supervise the care of patients with a variety of hematological disorders, with a focus on acute leukemias and myelodysplastic neoplasms.

You will participate in pre-graduate, post-graduate and continuing education in hematology.

You will promote translational or clinical research in the field of acute leukemias and myelodysplastic neoplasms.

 

 

Requirements

Profil

A medical degree

FMH qualification in hematology or equivalent (MEBEKO)

Clinical experience in all areas of hematology, particularly in the management of acute leukemias and myelodysplastic neoplasms.

At least basic experience in a hematology laboratory (interpretation of peripheral blood and bone marrow smears, immunophenotyping); in-depth experience in one or more areas of diagnostic hematology or an FAMH qualification is an asset.

The ability to lead a translational or clinical research program as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Demonstrated skills in interdisciplinary collaboration and networking.

Good communication skills and a good knowledge of French (C1), or the ability to acquire it rapidly.
