EHA-LSHBT Hematology Update on β-Thalassemia & CLL

EHA and the Lebanese Society of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (LSHBT) invite you to the first webinar of the Hematology Updates course.

The 2.5 hours Hematology Updates webinar provided a comprehensive overview of a benign and malignant hematologic disorder. The first session of the webinar focused on β-Thalassemia and the second session on CLL. The Chairs kicked-off each session with a number of (pre) questions to assess the knowledge of the attendees, and ended with the same set of (post) questions to determine the change in the attendees knowledge.

Through interactive case presentations by Dr S Koussa (β-Thalassemia and Pregnancy) and Dr A Patriarca (Choosing the optimal treatment in a CLL case), the attendees were able to test their knowledge on the topics at hand. Keynote presentations given by Prof A Taher (Updates in β-Thalassemia Management) and Prof G Gaidano (Precision medicine in chronic lymphocytic leukemia), followed. At the end of each session, the questions posted by the audience led to interesting discussions between the panel.
